The martial arts program is based on Chinese Kenpo and traditional Korean TaeKwon Do. Our Martial Arts class includes the following elements:

Conditioning
Students do calisthenics, stretching, drills, and body-weight exercises to prepare for martial arts instruction.

Bag Work
Students have an opportunity to practice their focus and concentration by utilizing the speed bag, focus bag, and heavy bag.

Traditional Korean TaeKwon Do
Korean Martial Art focusing on overall development of mind, body, and spirit. 70% leg technique and 30% hand technique. Focus on memorization of forms are required. This is challenging and teaches the student to persevere.

Chinese Kenpo
This is great for self defense and focuses on a multitude of flowing combinations, 70% hand Technique and 30% foot technique. Students are expected to practice forms at home.

Form Work

The forms draw upon TaeKwon Do and Kenpo as well as other martial arts and encourages interactive creation with the instructor to develop one’s own personal form.
